Heise Hot Springs - A Great Company Party!

Wow, is there a better place to hold a company party? Greg's company, Idaho Ag Credit Association, holds their annual summer party at Heise Hot Springs on the 24th of July. They invite all employees, retired employees (yes, kids, we will still be able to go there AFTER Dad has retired!), board members and their families to attend and enjoy a day of swimming, water-sliding, games, and good food! We were so happy to have Julie, Stanton, and their kids, as well as Cindy, DJ and their kids there with us. A good time was had by all as you can see from these pictures! I still haven't figured out how to label the pictures (HELP, JULIE!) so I hope you can tell who they are. Our little twins, Kamryn and Porter spent most of the day doing what you see in these pictures! What a nice day for Cindy to be able to enjoy the festivities a bit. She was a little worried because the babies had been very fussy the day and night before. But they must have worn themselves out! I have decided that Chloe and Lily are fearless! They went down the water slide alone and Brigham was not to be left out of the fun! All the kids went on the slide and even Kaleb finally enjoyed it! (At least I think, he did!) Thanks, Dad, for working for such a great company!

Ward 24th of July Celebration

Again, I forgot to take my camera, but I need to blog about the wonderful ward party that took place last Thursday night, July 24th, in celebration of Pioneer Day. It was held behind the church and we had about 300 people come and enjoy a FABULOUS and I mean FABULOUS dinner of barbequed ribs, dutch oven potatoes with bacon and cheese, tossed salad, homemade scones, and dutch oven peach cobbler with ice cream. Our ward members are taking the admonition from our leaders to love and care for their neighbors and INVITE. We had many people there who were not members and many who are not active and they all had a wonderful time. There was such a feeling of good will and love there! I know Heavenly Father was pleased with the sacrifice of those who spent so many hours of preparation to make it all happen.

Visit with Mike and Meg

After attending our stake's 24th of July party, (dinner and greased pig chase for all ages--minus the grease), we drove up to Idaho Falls with Morgs to see Grandma Johnson and Mike and Meg who were here for a visit! For journaling purposes, Mike Johnson is my oldest brother who just happens to be married to one of my best friends when I was growing up! We chatted away for a couple of hours and Morgan was happy as can be playing legos and sorting through Grandma J's pretty rocks from Brazil. I can't believe I forgot to take a picture of Mike and Meg--I guess we were too busy catching up on each other's lives! How great it was to see them again. They are such a happy, compatible pair!

Morgan Continued...

We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows over a fire which tasted oh, so good! We hadn't done that for such a long time! How fun to share it with little Morgan. We read scriptures before bed and then she settled in for the night! But not until she tried to hog the bed and had to get kissed all over her face before she'd give up and move over! (Grandpa slept on the hide-a-bed). She never made a peep all night and woke up hungry as can be! What is it about being in the mountains that does that to a person? After a big breakfast, Todd and Tiffany Christiansen came up with their little girls, Whitney and Lauren. So Morgan and her little buddy Whitney played in the creek all morning. Grandpa helped Wayne and Ron Murray doctor some yearlings. He certainly has not lost his roping ability! Wayne was glad he was there! A fun time and a much needed getaway!

• LOVES chocolate and goes straight for G&G's "candy wagon" when she comes to visit!
• Her rather "dry" sense of humor.
• Her intelligence and wit!
• Her very sensitive conscience!
• Has a deeply spiritual side for one so young.
• Great sleeper!
• Gives great hugs when she's in the mood.
• Very helpful.
• Happy and comfortable with who she is.
• Entertains herself without always needing others to play with her.
• Is as beautiful as her Dad is handsome (she look's like the Teichert side of the family!)
• Says very thoughtful, meaningful prayers.
• Is a fantastic reader!
• Loves staying with Grandma and Grandpa!

"I'm Gonna Die!" ... Morgan Style

We picked up Morgan last Friday night and took her with us up to Miner Creek to stay overnight in Wayne and Kathy Christiansen's 5th wheel trailer. As we got further and further up the mountain and pointed out the Blackfoot River waaaaaaaay below, we heard this little voice from the back seat moaning, "I'm gonna die!!" .... then a little chuckle, chuckle. The little comedian! This picture captures the moment perfectly!

Julie pointed out to me today that if I wait to have time to blog about Matt and Sara's trip west, our family reunion, etc., I will just get farther and farther behind. So I will start with the most recent and blog backwards in time! Check back in the past from time to time, because I will predate blog entries that happened in June and the first party of July when I have some time and it will put them in chronological order (at least that is what I'm told!)
