Our Monarch Butterfly, Jordy!

I remember well Morgan's Bugz Play and now it was Jordy's turn. And a more beautiful Monarch Butterfly has never been seen! She was so excited and nervous but did such a great job singing and acting her part. This is a cute play about all the different kinds of insects and bugs in the world. They study them during the year, write reports on their chosen insect, and then put on a play complete with fun costumes and adorable songs! Our camera does not do well with distance shots but she is at the caterpillar stage right now (front row wrapped in yellow/white/black fabric. You can't help but feel sorry for the little stink bug through the play, however. But there is always a "silver lining" to every story and even the stink bug ends up happy! Here they all are at the picnic.  Ever had a picnic like this where every possible bug or insect shows up to join your party?

Jordy and "Willy Wonka"

No photography of any kind allowed at the Colonial Theater for the IF Youth Arts Centre production of "Willy Wonka" much to this grandma's chagrin! This pic is from the program. You've got to love her smile and those cute pink bows! Cindy said she was able to take some pictures before the matinee performance that I'm sure she'll post.  The production was marvelous but I know I missed many parts simply because my eyes were keyed on the cutest darn towns person and squirrel you ever did see...namely, Miss Jordyn Teichert!  This really was a top notch production and a joy to see. We loved every minute of it and are so glad Jordy was able to participate though we know it was EXHAUSTING for her and her whole family with so many long rehearsals. I'm quite sure she will not forget the fun of performing, however, and the chance to make new friends both adult and kids who just fell in love with her and her perky little personality! Good job, Jordy! Grandma J, Grandpa and I are so proud of you!

Jordy's 7th Birthday

Well, our little Jordyn turned 7 on the 3rd of October, the last day of General Conference. It worked out so great this year for their family to stop on their way back from Cokeville that night to pick up Morgan and to have a little party for Jordyn here at the same time.  We couldn't wait to give her the little outfit and purse Greg and I picked out for her a month ago! Let's just say that we know what that little girl loves! And we were not disappointed! She gets so excited about her birthday and gifts and is VERY appreciative, so she makes it extra fun! Kate was with us on Friday and helped me make her a little cake, and then Kate made a "Happy Birthday, Jordy" sign for the front window! Thanks, Katie Bug! Jordy loved them!

How we love our little Birthday Girl!

Love my outfit, Grandpa!

Jordy's Birthday Suit!

It seems that every year Jordyn's birthday falls on General Conference weekend...October 3rd. We are always in Salt Lake (that is, as long as a perk of Greg's calling is Conference tickets!). This year, between Cindy and DJ's schedule and our schedule, the only night we could go visit her and deliver her gift was last night, Family Home Evening. Jordy was not feeling a bit good as she was coming down with the same 24- hour bug that Kaleb, Kami, Cindy and DJ had, but it was very fun to see her perk up as she opened her little birthday gift...a cute little sweater and pleated skirt that she couldn't wait to put on and wear to school tomorrow! Thanks enough right there! Cindy just told me that she threw up all evening and so did not go to school today. But guess what she put on first thing this morning?..., yes, her new "birthday suit". We love that bright little face and smile! When she is feeling good her little face absolutely glows! Grandma and Grandpa love you very much, Jordy, and know you'll have a wonderful birthday and party at Grandma and Grandpa T's in Cokeville! Happy, happy birthday!

Cindy came down to stay Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. As Chloe and Lily are staying with us, it was so fun for them to have lots of "cousin time!" These are just a few highlights! Regan was our photographer for many of the pictures. Thanks Regan!
