King and Queen for a Day!

As previously mentioned in my retirement post, for Christmas my former boss and his wife gave us a trip to Jackson Hole which included a night in the Historic Wort Hotel, breakfast at the Silver Dollar, a sleigh ride at the Elk Refuge and a good amount of money for food, tips, and however else we wanted to spend it! So we headed to Jackson on Friday, January 23rd. We arrived in time that I was able to get a haircut by my favorite stylist, Teresa, at Studio 2000! Expensive but always worth it! And Greg loves to go browse at Fall Creek Saddlery while I'm in getting the "do" so it works out great for both of us. We had the President's Suite at the Wort...HUGE, classy suite and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. That night we hit Bubba's just because we like it! The next morning, we enjoyed breakfast at the Silver Dollar (excellent, by the way!) and then went on the Elk Refuge sleigh ride. It was such fun and on the return bus trip from the reserve, we visited with the bus driver who just happened to be Jeff Warburton from Grouse Creek who now owns the concession as well as the BarT5 ranch where Lisa used to work! The fellow who drove the sleigh grew up on the Washakee Ranch. It is always fun to make those connections. I have posted a few pictures of the elk we saw very "up close and personal"! Thanks again, Greg and Michelle, for the fun weekend.
