Our Little Cannon Turns 1

Julie and her birthday boy!

Do you think Lily is a "poser?"

Is Brig really having seconds?

Cannon went from this to.......
this, to.......

this! (After Stanton hosed him off outside!)

"Chloe the Great" doing her magic tricks

This is what we saw as we were driving out of Logan on our way home!
I took this through the car window.

Our little grandson Cannon born 080808 celebrated his 1st birthday last Saturday! How can it be? He is as sweet and even-tempered as he is adorable. We enjoyed our time with Julie, Stanton and the kids as always. We thought it very fitting that Cannon started walking of his own accord that morning and wasn't a bit shy about showing off his new talent. I loved the chocolate cake with chocolate frosting Julie baked for him as I absolutely love 1st birthday parties and all the mess and goo! Chocolate just made it that much more fun as evidenced by the pictures.

One of the hi-lights of the get-together was Chloe's little magic show! She has decided she wants to learn to do magic tricks and Julie and Stanton have been very supportive making sure she has all she needs to be successful. Julie had made the cutest little hat out of an oatmeal box and Chloe looked adorable in it! I was so glad Julie posted a little video of it on her blog because I was having so much fun watching her I forgot to video. She was so pleased to have an audience and a talent all her own to show us. It made Greg and me very, very happy to see her so happy! She is an adorable little sweetheart and growing up so much with every passing day. We have 3 more little grandkids starting kindergarten this year...Jordyn, Emma and Chloe. That makes 8 of the 16 little ones now going to school. We pray for their safety and happiness every day!

We had to laugh when it came time to open Cannon's presents because he just sat happily by while his older three siblings ripped away! He didn't care a bit which was aided by the fact that he didn't have a clue he was supposed to be opening them! We also loved the cute little sacks the kids had lovingly decorated to put his little gifts in from them. They were very excited it was his birthday! It was also good to see Stanton's mom Judy and we hope Dave is feeling better each day after his neck surgery. Thanks, Julie and Stanton, for hosting all the fun. Your family is precious!
